My Experience with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT can be a useful tool, but how much is too much when relying on AI to give us answers? Where is it pulling it from and how do they differ from each other? For my assignment, I asked ChatGPT “In 250 words, describe the differences of users using TikTok as a search engine compared to Google”. Which you can see the results in my linked google doc here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ckRALNwDTYvDi1gqZ09044Ftt0ftXLw3ddJKl0f1emo/edit?usp=sharing

When using this AI software. I believe the results were mostly accurate, although they seemed a little outdated. What I did in this document was update AI’s result. Adding onto the structure of how google organizes their search as well as different ways you can search without typing. Given the experience I had with AI, I think it is right to question how current the information ChatGPT is giving me. It left out a lot of relevant features and differences that people may not know exist. So how often is it leaving out current information? This also leads me to wonder what does AI deem important if we use it as a knowledge hub. Don’t get me wrong, I think AI is a great tool. The way I would use it would be as a good base to start a search but not the whole search. I would do additional digging outside of the AI software to make sure I’m gathering all of the facts I am looking for as well as fact checking AI.
